Urban Simulation Team






The Urban Simulation Team at UCLA is a leader in the exploration of applications for real time visual simulation in design, urban planning, energency response and education. The Team’s website provides examples of its detailed 3D content of downtown Los Angeles, with images taken from Microsoft’s Virtual Earth 3D for comparison. It includes case studies of other work undertaken by the team, together with information about its research outputs, with links to the full text documents where possible.

Historic Environment Local Management Project




The English Heritage Historic Environment Local Management Project (HELM) aims to share best practice and build capacity and confidence in those dealing with the historic environment. The HELM website includes an online document bank focusing on a range of topics including the renovation and reuse of traditional buildings, funding issues, and the contribution that the historic environment can make to urban regeneration. Includes a newsletter, reports, case studies and a directory of ‘historic environment champions’.
